4-Week Small Group Shooting Program
Most young players struggle with two-handed shooting and inconsistent form. The truth is, many kids are simply never taught proper shooting mechanics. Our 4-week program builds a strong foundation with focused, small-group coaching.
What Makes Our Program Different:
We keep groups small — just 6-8 players — so every athlete gets real attention and clear feedback. We build clean shooting form, confident ball-handling, and smooth moves into shots. You'll see faster improvement because we focus on the fundamentals that actually matter.
📍 This is an in-person, local program
Sessions are held in the Hillsborough area (Orange County, North Carolina), right on the Durham line, and run twice a week on weekday evenings for 4 weeks. It's most convenient for families in and around Durham, Hillsborough, and Chapel Hill. Farther out? You're welcome — just plan for the drive. The exact gym address is shared with enrolled families after registration.

Refund Policy
Refund Policy
Spots are limited to just 6–8 players per group, and we turn families away to keep our groups small and every player getting real attention. Because of that, here's how refunds work:
- 7+ days before the block starts: Full refund, no questions asked.
- Within 7 days of the start date: 50% refund — at that point we may not have time to fill your spot from the waitlist.
- Once the block begins: We're unable to offer refunds, since your spot is held for the full program and can't be reopened mid-block.
Life happens. If a genuine hardship comes up — an injury or family emergency — reach out. We'll do our best to work with you, including credit toward a future block.
Sessions are held in person in the Hillsborough/Durham area on weekday evenings. Please make sure the location and schedule work for your family before enrolling.

Our Coaches. Our Methods.
We've been coaching basketball for nearly 40 combined years — from youth rec leagues to high school and even college programs like Duke.
We don’t just run drills. We teach the why behind every part of the shot so players truly understand proper form instead of guessing. Our methods come from years of watching thousands of shots and fixing the same common problems over and over.
In every session you’ll get clear, patient coaching focused on building clean fundamentals that last.
The Details Matter.
The difference between an average shooter and a really good one is almost always in the small details: foot placement, balance, elbow alignment, hand positioning, and a consistent follow-through.
We focus on those exact details. We show players exactly what proper form looks like, why it matters, and how to fix the little things that make a big difference. Whether it’s creating a solid base with your feet, generating power from your legs, or keeping your off-hand quiet, we dial in the mechanics that actually improve your shot.
When the details are right, everything else gets easier — and the results show up faster.

FAQ
Who is this program for?
This 4-week program is designed for players ages 9–12 (co-ed) who want to develop proper shooting form and build real confidence. It’s perfect for beginners learning fundamentals the right way and for intermediate players who want to clean up bad habits.
My child is 8 — can they participate?
This program is built for ages 9-12, where players have the body control and focus to get the most out of detailed shooting instruction. That said, we occasionally make exceptions for an 8-year-old who's truly ready — one who listens closely and can put in focused, repetitive work. If that sounds like your player, reach out at clinics@perfecshot.com before registering and we'll talk it through.
How many players are in each group?
We keep groups small — maximum 6-8 players per coach. This ensures every player gets individual attention and personalized feedback each session.
What does a typical session look like?
Each 60-minute session includes warm-up and footwork, focused shooting form work, ball-handling while moving into shots, game-like situations, and a quick review. We emphasize proper mechanics and building muscle memory.
Do I need to buy any equipment?
No. We provide everything needed during sessions, including ALIGN basketballs sized for each player and ONE shooting aids for demonstration. Players should bring comfortable athletic shoes and water.
What is the cancellation policy?
Because spots are limited to 6–8 players per group, here's how cancellations work: cancel 7+ days before the block starts for a full refund (minus processing fees). Within 7 days of the start, we offer a 50% refund, since we may not have time to fill your spot. Once the block begins, we're unable to refund, but if a genuine hardship comes up — like an injury or family emergency — reach out and we'll work with you, including credit toward a future block.
Do you offer single sessions or drop-ins?
For our pilot programs we are currently offering full 4-week packages only. This helps create consistent groups and the best possible results.
Where are the sessions held?
Sessions are held at a gymnasium in the Hillsborough area (OrangeCounty), right on the Durham line. It's most convenient for families in and around Durham, Hillsborough, and ChapelHill — but if you're a bit farther out, you're welcome, just plan for the drive, since players attend in person twice a week on weekday evenings. The exact address is sharedwith enrolled families afterregistration.
What makes your program different?
We don’t just run drills. We teach the why behind proper shooting mechanics and focus on building lasting fundamentals. With small groups, experienced coaching, and tools like ALIGN and ONE, players see real, measurable improvement in their shot and confidence.
